Where You Are In Life Right Now Is Not By Accident
Many of us are not happy with where we are at in life right now. We may look at our lives and think, ” How did I get here?”, or “Why me?” Some of us are actually content with where we are in life, even though we may want more.
I am actually one of those that is content with where I am in life. I often reflect on how I got to where I am in life. To those less fortunate than myself, they may think that it was fate that got me here.
As I reflect on my journey here, I can tell you that fate had nothing to do with it. Where I am in life right now was by no means an accident. I had to study hard to graduate from high school, all while being a young father and working at McDonald’s.
I had to endure 5 grueling years in the United States Marine Corps. I had to take 6 years out of my life to get my Bachelor’s Degree, all while working a full time job and raising a family.
I say all that not to brag, but to detail a glimpse of the hard work that I had to put in to get to where I am at right now. Conversely, while I was doing all that ,some people were having fun in high school not learning anything.
After graduation, some people hung out, partied, and put in no work for their future. These people are currently unhappy with where they are at in life and have no idea how they got there.
If you are one of those people who are not content with where you are at in life, the choices you made in the past have contributed to your present state. It is ok though, all is not lost.
As always with me, there is no judgments only solutions. In order to change your future you have to change the present. I do not care what situation you are in, if you are not happy with where you are in life you can change it.
It will not be easy, but it can be done. It took me 11 years between the military and college to be where I am at today. It may take you longer or it may be shorter. Ultimately it will take some time, effort, and action on your part to make that change.
Remember it is not by accident that you are where you are in life. It was either through your actions or inactions. Either way you can and will make that change to improve your life. I have faith in you. I just need you to have faith in yourself.
