How To Make 2016 Successful

This is Your Year

As we come to the end of 2015, plans, goals, and preparations are already being made for the upcoming year. At least they should be anyway. Did you accomplish everything you wanted to this year? If not, do not worry. I will give you some tips on how you can make 2016 successful.

  1. Be thankful

The first thing that you want to do in order for 2016 to be successful is to be thankful. Reflect on all the good things that has happened to you in 2015. You may have had some trials and tribulations, but do not focus on them. Focus on the positive things that have happened to you this year. If you cannot think of one, then I will give you one. If you are reading this, then that means you are alive. Be thankful for that.

2. Make goals

Before you head into 2016, make a list of at least 10 goals that you want to accomplish next year. Make them realistic but not too easy. Write these goals down on a piece of paper. Get them out of your head and write them down. You will be amazed at how much clarity writing them out can bring to you. Do not be afraid to put goals on there that will really challenge you. If you do not know how to cook, put taking a cooking class down on there. Think outside the box.

3. How will you accomplish those goals

It is one thing to write a list of goals, but you need to write down how you plan of accomplishing them. If you put down that you want to go back to school as one of your goals, how will you get it done. Do you need to apply for financial aide? Will it fit in with your current work schedule? How much time will you dedicate to studying? All of these things need to be written down and taken into consideration so you can be successful at accomplishing your goals.

4. Be flexible

You may have to change some goals around during the year. It is ok if that happens. Sometimes things happen that are out of your control. That is life. Just like you wrote them down, they can be erased or things added to them. It is your life, make adjustments if they are needed.

5. Evaluate

Midway through the year, evaluate how you are coming along with the goals that you have set up for yourself. How many have you accomplished? How many have you added or removed from the list? You should evaluate your goals at the end of the year as well. Reward yourself with a big gift as well for accomplishing your goals. It is a good incentive.

If you follow these 5 tips, I assure you that your 2016 will be successful. Happy New Year!!!!!!!!!!!!!
