Keep It Simple

As we begin 2018 and leave 2017 behind, what is it that you want to accomplish this year? Do you want to lose weight again this year? Do you want to save more money this year?

Do you want to get promoted or move up at work? Whatever it is, we all have some sort of goal or resolution that we want to accomplish in 2018. If you do not have one yet, then get to thinking.

It is very important that you set some sort of goal for yourself in life. No matter how small or big it is, as long as it is meant to push you into some sort of growth in your life.

Now for 2018, we are going to keep it simple. Many of you fell off track with your goals for 2017, myself included. It is ok though, Coach PJ has just what you need.

The first thing that you are going to do to keep it simple in 2018 is to start small. If your goal is to lose weight in 2018, then start small. Instead of thinking of it as a sprint, look at it as a marathon.

Instead of hitting that gym 5 days a week, start off with going two or three days a week.  Yes it is a slower pace, but it is more likely that you will keep that up instead of the 5 days. The name of the game in 2018 is keeping it simple.

You will kill that 2 to 3 days a week that you will soon yearn to work out even more and may push to 5 days a week.

You can do the same thing for your diet, or rather lifestyle. You wanna cut back on juice, dilute half of that juice with water. Got a sweet tooth, pick a sweet tooth day to where you reward yourself with your favorite dessert for doing so good all week.

Whatever it is you need to do to lose that weight, start off small.

The second thing that you are going to do to keep it simple in 2018 is  remove the pressure off of yourself if you fall off course. As I stated earlier, it is a marathon not a sprint. If you get off track, it is ok.

Do not beat yourself up about falling short. The wonderful thing about falling is that you can get right back up and try again.

Many times we get so frustrated about falling short of our goals, we just abandon them altogether after a little set back. Well, in 2018 we will not put pressure on ourselves like that.

We know that while trying to reach goals, set backs may happen. So with that already in our head, no pressure in 2018. We are keeping it simple.

Life is already hard at times, we do not need to add the pressures of keeping up with goals and resolutions to it in 2018. Start off small and keep that pressure off of you while trying to accomplish those goals.
