It May Be Time For Some Spring Cleaning
Yes, yes, it is that time of year. Winter has gone away and spring is here. This is the time of year when many people decide to do some spring cleaning around their homes.
Well, as you get underneath those beds and way deep inside those cabinets, there may be some other areas that you may not even know that need some cleaning as well. These areas are pertaining to the people and habits that you currently have in your life.
Take a moment to write down the names of everyone who is actively in your life. As you go through all those names, put a positive sign next to those people that bring you joy, positivity, and overall good feelings.
Now I want you to put a negative sign next to those individuals who only bring you negativity, chaos, and overall bad feelings. Count the number of positives compared to the number of negatives.
If you find that you have way more positives than negatives, then I can almost guarantee that you are content with life most of the time. Now if your negatives outnumber your positives, I can confidently say that you may not be happy most of the time.
If both positives and negatives are even then life should be about balanced for you. This is usually the case for most people. Now with that being said, this is where the spring cleaning comes in.
If you want to see a big shift in your life from negative to positive, you may want to start cutting out the negative people in your life. You do not have to cut them all out but you definitely want to make a dent.
You can also start adding more positive people in your life to tip the scale of your life to being more positive. Imagine if you surrounded yourself with people who encouraged you all the time and were great examples of where you wanted to be in life.
How much of a difference do you think your life would be? This spring cleaning of your life is no magical thing or no big secret. It boils down to you most likely become what you surround yourself with.
So as you tidy up your house this spring, feel free to start tidying up your life as well.
